I started PocketHR because, let's face it, traditional HR is stuck in the past. I've been in the trenches of companies where HR felt more like a bureaucratic hurdle than a support system. It's frustrating to see leaders and employees alike struggling with outdated practices that just don't cut it anymore.
 

Over the years, I've partnered with founders & leaders who are chasing big dreams and building something meaningful. But time and again, I've seen how HR gets sidelined, especially in those crucial early stages. That's where PocketHR steps in.

What do you offer? Our core offerings include: 1. Fractional HR Consultancy From org design and policies to employee relations and culture-building—we cover everything and all things HR. Think of us as your on-demand People Partner. 2. Fractional Recruitment Support We manage your end-to-end hiring process. We'll work directly in your ATS, act as an extension of your team, and recruit on your behalf to find the right talent—fast. 3. Operations Support Need help with legal compliance, payroll setup, or benefits administration? We’ve got you. We also streamline onboarding, implement HR tech, and improve the systems that power your business.

Who do you work with? We partner with growing businesses, startups, and nonprofits — especially those without a full People or Talent team in place. Whether you're hiring your first employees or scaling fast, we’ll help you get the right systems, processes, and support in place.

What do you charge and how does your model work? We offer flexible monthly retainers based on your needs — typically fractional support (e.g. up to 20 hours per week). This gives you access to senior-level HR and Talent expertise without the cost of a full-time hire. We also take on project-based work when it makes sense (think: audits, playbooks, system setups).

Do you work remotely or in-office? We primarily work remotely and support clients across North America. That said, if you're based in Toronto, we’re happy to accommodate in-office visits. We're timezone-aligned, async-friendly, and flexible to how your team works best.

What consultants do you partner with? We collaborate with a trusted network of experts — including benefits brokers, leadership coaches, lawyers, technical recruiters, and more. If we can’t support it directly, we’ll connect you with someone great who can.
