I started PocketHR because traditional HR just wasn’t cutting it.
I’ve worked inside companies where HR felt more like red tape than real support. It was slow, reactive, and out of sync with how modern businesses operate. That didn’t sit right with me.
So I built PocketHR, a modern HR partner for growing teams that want to do things differently.

We operate as a true extension of your team, not a vendor on the sidelines. This is ongoing, hands-on support for everything that comes up as your business grows. From employee questions and manager coaching to ad-hoc projects, recruitment support, and “can you help with this?” moments.
Up to 20 hours per week of flexible, embedded support that adapts to what your team actually needs in real time. Think on-call Head of People who knows your context, your people, and your priorities.

Best for early-stage or scaling teams who need a strong people foundation fast.
This is for companies that need their people basics set up properly. We design and deliver one-time or scoped projects that create clarity and structure across your team.
This can include employee handbooks, policies, onboarding and orientation programs, performance frameworks, or setting up your HR tools the right way from day one.

Fractional Recruitment
Best for teams hiring consistently who want a faster, smarter + more sustainable approach to recruiting.
We act as an extension of your recruitment function, not a traditional agency. Up to 20 hours per week, embedded directly into your tools, processes, and hiring workflows. We handle sourcing, screening + coordination inside your ATS so candidates and hiring managers get a seamless experience. No percentage-based fees. No handoffs.

Who do you work with? We partner with growing businesses, startups, and nonprofits — especially those without a full People or Talent team in place. Whether you're hiring your first employees or scaling fast, we’ll help you get the right systems, processes, and support in place.
What do you charge and how does your model work? We offer flexible monthly retainers based on your needs — typically fractional support (e.g. up to 20 hours per week). This gives you access to senior-level HR and Talent expertise without the cost of a full-time hire. We also take on project-based work when it makes sense (think: audits, playbooks, system setups).
Do you work remotely or in-office? We primarily work remotely and support clients across North America. That said, if you're based in Toronto, we’re happy to accommodate in-office visits. We're timezone-aligned, async-friendly, and flexible to how your team works best.
What consultants do you partner with? We collaborate with a trusted network of experts — including benefits brokers, SR&ED consultants, leadership coaches, lawyers, workshop facilitators and more. If we can’t support it directly, we’ll connect you with someone great who can.
