I started PocketHR because traditional HR just wasn't cutting it. I've spent my career helping businesses grow from start-ups to corporate giants, and in every stage, I kept seeing the same thing: HR felt more like red tape than real support. Policies no one actually read. Processes that slowed things down. A disconnect between what the business needed and what HR was delivering.
So I built PocketHR for the businesses that get left behind by that system. The founders doing HR between meetings. The small business owners who need help but can't justify a full-time hire. The growing teams that have outgrown "we'll figure it out as we go."

Who do you work with? We partner with growing businesses, startups, and nonprofits - especially those without a full People or Talent team in place. Whether you're hiring your first employees or scaling fast, we’ll help you get the right systems, processes, and support in place.
What do you charge and how does your model work? We offer flexible monthly retainers built around your actual needs, typically fractional HR and Talent support up to 20 hours per week. You get senior-level expertise without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. We also take on project-based work when it makes sense (think: audits, playbooks, system setups). Our most popular tier starts at $2,500/month, with options for teams scaling fast. If nothing fits perfectly, we'll find a structure that does.
Do you work remotely or in-office? We primarily work remotely and support clients across North America. That said, if you're based in Toronto, we’re happy to accommodate in-office visits. We're timezone-aligned, async-friendly, and flexible to how your team works best.
What consultants do you partner with? We collaborate with a trusted network of experts — including benefits brokers, SR&ED consultants, leadership coaches, lawyers, workshop facilitators and more. If we can’t support it directly, we’ll connect you with someone great who can.
